The main function is to supply flushing fluid (mud or clear water) into the borehole during core drilling, so that it circulates in the borehole, so as to carry cuttings back to the ground, keep the bottom of the hole clean, cool and lubricate the drill bit and drilling tools, protect the wall of the hole from collapsing, and help drilling.
